FESTIVAL CANCELED DUE TO COVID FOR 2021
When we first began planning this festival in April, COVID seemed to be on its way out of our lives in a very significant way. Having a large gathering to celebrate its departure from our lives, and a return to circus seemed like a great idea. But, now with cases rising so quickly again we are concerned that we feel it’s most prudent to cancel the first Wet Hot American Circus Festival. In circus we put safety first, and we have to make this call for everyone’s health in the face of vaccination break-throughs and vaccine hesitancy in the general public. The writing is on the wall with this variant, and it’s better for everyone to make the call now, than potentially much closer to the festival. This decision breaks our hearts, but we all have too much on the line to keep just hoping that things will work out.
We believe in the concept of this festival and remain excited by its potential. We are disappointed that we won’t all get to gather this summer in a spirit of community and sharing, however, we hope to return to the idea when this pandemic is well in our rear-view mirror

WHAT IS THE THE WET HOT AMERICAN CIRCUS FEST?
Well, ultimately it’s what you make it, but here’s the framework. One week of watching incredible shows, taking workshops, making connections, collaborating with new friends and old, dance parties in a big top, making and eating delicious meals together, roasting marshmallows, dreaming, scheming and planning for the next stage in our circus lives.
The festival will be held from September 6th-12th, 2021. Check out our official workshop schedule and show line up, plus we will have spontaneous daily pop-up workshops and activities, communal meals, and evening activities like ghost tours, circus olympics, campfires and more. Friday-Sunday will feature shows by 6 of America's most awesome and innovative circus companies.
Join us with a Workshop Residency and get a full week of full circus immersion, buy day passes, or just join us for some shows! Camping is available through Eden Springs Campground, right next door to the festival grounds!
